Tony The Factory Worker
It May Be Factory Work But I Love It.
Hi there,
Being a mid-50’s sex offender can be tough at times. However I have never had to worry about having a job. This is because since I was 18 I worked in factories. I have done it all from working with plastic to even helping people put produce into jars. It’s awesome. I could not ask for a better life. You see the secret to getting a job has nothing to do with your criminal history. All that matters is that you are able to work and you are happy to work. I am so thankful that I get to spend every day in this factory. I never have to worry about my bills or anything because I know that at the end of the day I can go work in another factory. My advice to any sex offender is that if you are willing to work, Try to apply at every factory you can. Most will not care about your history because you will not be around to many people. If someone gets mad at you for being a sex offender in a factory it will not affect how the company is viewed. People expect sex offenders to work at factories anyways. Well that’s all I have. I wish you all the best.

I am a sex offender in texas and have worked 9 1/2 months since release. It is very disgusting and really need a job.
I got a job at a factory. A good job. Making aircraft parts as a machinist. Fired after 30 days due to a background check. I was so happy to get that job. Now it’s Labor Finders crap jobs. Dug a 100 foot trench today. By myself. Yup, factories do background checks too. What I would like to see is a factory that ONLY hires RSO’s and felons. Anyone want to work on creating a workplace, maybe making furniture or a machine shop, strictly for the impossible to employ? I am a Certified Production Tech and I’m OSHA 10 certified. I was also vice president of a furniture company for 15 years. If you’re reading this, want to help people in our position to manufacture products…and have tons of money to invest…then I’m your guy. Just respond to this and we’ll work out a plan to create jobs for those who not only deserve it the most, but would have a unique appreciation for gainful employment.

I am a sex offender and was released recently from prison and am currently looking for employment.
After my conviction I lost my job. It was a good job, $50k a year. After being out of work for 6 months, I found a job as a ranch hand. It was hard work, and only paid $20 a day. But it helped me regain some self respect. Now I work as a supervisor in the oil business. No where near $50k a year, but hard work and a good attitude goes a long way. The only person you should worry about impressing is yourself.
